I bought the seat sliders because I am not as young and supple as I was and it makes it easier to get in and out of the seat.
They were a little fiddly to fit until I realised I was fitting them wrong.
TIP - Make sure you look at the pictures and read the instructions.
I was probably just a bit eager to get everything set up and doing laps!
Definitely worth the exrtra expense if you need them.
A recommended addition as far as I am concered.

Don't know why I waited this long to get a seat slider, this makes adjustments so much faster and convenient. Maybe PlaySeat should add a slider to every purchase rather than having it as an option as this is an option you must have.

I purchased a WRC Playseat, Gear Shift Holder Pro and a Seat Slider. The items arrived quickly and well packaged. The assemble instructions are good and you can go online to see how it assembles. As I assembled the footplate adjuster assembly I cross threaded the screw, as it is a little tight to fit. I contacted Playseat to inform them and they were more than helpful. They not only replaced the screw for me, but the whole plate and plate adjuster very quickly. I was really pleased with their customer service. Using the Playseat is great. It is really comfortable, even for long periods of time. The seat slider is a great addition as some members of my family are a lot shorter and the slider is really easy and smooth to use. You can also adjust the steering wheel and pedals to accommodate people of different sizes very quickly. I did fit an extra 3mm of rubber sheet under the steering wheel and clamps, as I did find it a little noisy. Overall I have found this a great purchase and value for money had has given my family hours of fun.

Amazing product works well with the seat evolution. Assembly can be a bit tricky but give it time and it works wonders. As I am 6'3" I bought this to allow the seat a little more movement over the standard product and I am pleased to say I am not disappointed in the results.

Would 100% recommend to a friend.

When the 1st shipment arrived I think the Fed Ex Driver was more excited than me. I has able to put it together with a little help in less than 1 hour. The seat slider was a little tricky but got it done and it works like a charm.
I had ordered the mat but I didn't arrive with the 1st shipment, but was there the next day by the same Fed Ex driver. He was excited to know how I liked the seat, so I invited him in to check it out!
He loved the seat and mentioned that he did flight simulation and was gonna check out Playseat!
The mat really finished it all nicely and will save my flooring.

I wasn't sure if this would be necessary but I'm so glad I bought it. It feels like the same quality found in regular vehicles with a manual seat adjustment. When friends try it out or my kids play it's SO EASY to adjust. Without the SEAT SLIDER, it would be a pain to adjust the positions. Look, if you are spending the money on setting up a simulator and choose the top-notch PlaySeat- just spend the extra few bucks and buy the slider and gearshift holder!! All my friends think I paid thousands for everything! It looks and feels that good! Buy. It.

I really like this playseat slider because it gives it a realistic feel.

Plus it gives a extra bit of room for the taller people.

It was really easy to assemble and add on to the playseat, the instructions were nice ,simple and clear.

It is easier to slide the seat and adjust your position so that's why I bought it and I am really pleased to have done so.

I've only recently started to get into sim racing more seriously and buying all the kit. I already have the evolution chair and thought this would be a useful extra. Even with the chair it definitely makes a difference and my lap times have got faster. But this slider is also very useful as when I'm in an endurance race it's quick and easy to adjust my position meaning I can concentrate more on my race and not have to fiddle around with the chair

After playing around with the Playseat Evolution with the slider I can say for certain that it's a must have accessory. Really nice to move the seat forward or backwards depending on the game you're playing or just to easily let another person play.

The setup was pretty straight forward but I recommend getting the slider alongside a seat so you won't have to re-assemble the seat with the slider

Não é totalmente indispensável, mas que dá muito jeito dá.
Dá muito jeito para sair da cadeira (puxando para trás), especialmente quando se tem tudo ajustado à altura da pessoa, pois para sair pode ficar algo apertado.
O design podia efetivamente ser melhor, mas é mesmo muito cómodo.

My comments would echo those of others. The seat slider is a necessary accessory even if you don't share the seat with others. Think about it, when was the last time you got into a new car and didn't want to adjust the seat? First the seat, then the wheel (if adjustable), then the mirrors. In that order, right? The only thing I quibble about is that between the assembly instruction of the seat and those that incorporate the slider mechanism, it's not the most intuitive process and could use improvement. My suggestion to the manufacturer is collect some inept and non-mechanically inclined people and make them go through the assembly process. Study their inevitable confusion and determine the best way to make the wrinkles on their forehead go away.

I ordered the seat sliders along with my Playseat Evolution Alcantara. Because I am tall and my kids are small, we needed the adjustability that the sliders provided, in order to all be able to enjoy the seat.This is my review of the seat sliders.

After receiving the shipment with the seat and sliders, which were packed together neatly and securely, we began assembly of the seat frame. All the components of the seat were unwrapped, including the seat slider accessory, and laid out before we began assembly. My 12-year-old son was eager to help with assembly, and he got started with the Allen wrenches right away. He did most of the wrenching work himself, and was in charge of the instructions, which were clear and easy to understand.

The trick to the seat slider installation was to determine how to release the slider catch mechanism. This is required to gain access to the bolt holes at the front and rear of the slider. It was the only part of assembly where stronger hands (or a pair of pliers) was required.

The seat slider mechanism is quite sturdy, and the sliders came pre-greased for smooth operation. Once installed, the adjustments are made by simply raising the horizontal bar just below the front of the seat cushion, and sliding in the desired direction. It’s identical to a regular manual car seat adjuster, and is easy enough that my 10-year-old daughter could manage the adjustment easily.

The sliders have quite a few locking positions — I believe I counted ten — and the seat remains firmly locked into place. The entire assembly works quite well overall, and complements the adjustability of the Evolution seat itself quite nicely.

Give yourself plenty of space to work in if, like me, you are assembling a seat, slider and gearshift at the same time. Take your time and it is not too tricky, the manuals are clearly written.

I used the "slider" to accommodate the small differences of adults and likewise children. It is easy to use and allows multiple users to have get the most from the experience with the minimum amount of fuss. We have a macro-adjustment to switch from my 9-year old grandson to me which takes some time, but to switch between him and his friends or me an my friends is a matter of seconds.

This came with the Project Cars 2 kit that was being sold, Initially I wasn't going to fit it, but then realized if I ever had anyone else use my setup, that it would be a pain in the butt to set back up in the way that I wanted it again. In the end decided to fit it.

I'm just going to say that I think I would be very regretful if I chose not to fit it. The seat slides relatively easy to fit and the simplicity of adjustments via the sliders is really worth buying them!

My Playseat Evolution Alcantara is my best purchase in a long time. My Playseat Seat Slider is my second best purchase in a long time. It was extremely easy to attach to my seat and works just as good as the ones in any regular vehicle. The seat can be adjusted using the knobs but I can see that after awhile I'd get tired of having to move the seat back and forth anytime someone else of a different height wanted to play. I have a leg disability that keeps my left leg from bending. I use the slider to push the seat all the way back to get into it and can slide it forward effortlessly to get in position where my right foot can use the pedals. I slide it back to get out again and then my son gets in the seat and slides it to the position that's comfortable for him. In my opinion, anyone purchasing a Playseat needs to purchase the Seat Slider as well. When the world had the option of outhouses and indoor plumbing most people upgraded and went with indoor plumbing because it was more convenient and easier to use. Trust me, upgrade your seat and get the slider, you'll be extremely happy you did

A great piece of kit, I wished I had purchased and fitted at same time as I when purchased the seat.

I am 6ft 4 and I share the use of the seat with my 10 year old so the slider is a real must to avoid the constant adjusting etc that was previously required.

Although a bit fiddly I was fitted within 20 minutes and good to go!!

Except I play flight sims not car sims, but you get the idea. Since I also have rudder pedals and a throttle and stick it makes for a rather cluttered seat. Hence it's really convenient being able to slid out the whole thing, makes getting out for a pee much easier !
(also, I don't pee in my car, or in a plane when I'm flying for real)

It's a bit difficult (or at least it was for me and my girlfriend) to figure out how exactly you get the sliders open in order to get them on to the chair and stand (the directions aren't unclear, but they aren't super clear either) and it would have been awesome if I figured out they provided gloves so as to not get grease all over your hands before I got grease all over my hands (my fault, not theirs) but in the end it's an absolute must. It's a bit expensive for what it is, but this is a necessary addition to the adjustment variables on the seat.

This is the most durable gaming accessory i have ever seen, its unbelievably strong, made of metal like no other gaming accessory you can buy, the built quality is a 10/10. The only issue i had was with the installation that toke me time but i guess i m still new in all this DIY stuff. After the installation the freedom of moving the seat is amazing, i can move it by micro adjustments for special car class races, like for rally i like to be far from wheel for the drifting ;-) overall excellent product, worth the price & time to install it.

Bought this along with the gaming chair, and the gear holder, installation was a bit tedious as you will have to give it a thought before you start installing all parts together.. I ended up disassembling the seat, to fit the gear holder and seat slider in and reassemble the seat back together.. but in general, everything turns out well and all good.. enjoying every minute of it.. thanks!!

The installation is not easy and the instructions are not very clear. I would almost say the product is over-engineered but once you have it finally installed it is so worth the hassle.

Installation of the Playseat slider is easy once you figure out how to manually slide the rail back and forth, which is needed for installation.

While it does the trick and the build quality is sturdy, I can't help think that the rails itself could have been a lot smoother. It takes some pushing to get it in motion and the lift bar in the front needs to be cranked upwards with force to get the rails in motion. It could have done with wheels or bearings in the rails to give it a smoother feeling.

Nevertheless, this is an essential item if you play on the seat with more than one person (of course if that person, like my wife, is not the same height as you)

With almost a foot difference in height between the two racers in the household, the sear slider was a necessary accessory. It arrived prompt, packed well. All the parts were wrapped in plastic and separated. The instructions were clear and accurate, and were printed on substantial paper. The parts are all high quality metal and the sliding mechanism were well lubricated with proper grease

Total quality and works flawlessly. Sure beats trying to unscrew the crank every time you want to switch players.
