It arrived quickly, but initially came with the old pedal plate. A quick email, and the newer, stiffer plate was mailed out at no cost and arrived very quickly.
The whole thing bolts together quite easily. Two people would make it easier but I did it on my own in less than thirty minutes. And it's rigid and doesn't squeak.
I've got it up and running now with an Oculus Rift and Assetto Corsa, along with Fanatec Clubsport wheel and pedals, and frankly it's amazing. Several people at work have tried it, ranging from 5'1" women to 6'7" guys, and everyone fits. The tall guy finds the headrest presses into his back, but once he's driving he doesn't notice.
Getting in and out is impossible to do elegantly - one has to stand over the seat, lower ones buttocks into it, and then wriggle ones legs down towards the pedals. Getting out is perhaps harder still, but I'm sure we'll all get better with practice. But I'm going to find a way to mount a sequential shifter on the right hand side, and that's going to make it much harder still.
Things I'm not so keen on:
The pedal plate is just a bit too flexible for my liking. If it was me, I'd have made the mounting bolts a little further apart to increase the rigidity, or added a support at the back somehow. The newer design of pedal plate is a big help, but it's still not perfect.
The steering wheel mount isn't quite straight, but I've twisted it a little bit so the steering column is pretty much on the centerline.
The screws that hold the seat back into place press against the inside of the padding and push it inwards. But you only notice that during assembly.
The adjustment is great. Steering wheel reach and height are catered for, although the height adjustment can leave it a bit unsupported, so I wouldn't entirely recommend this to big or tall guys. The pedal adjustment is great though, for angle and distance, and once you've got the angle set it's easy to adjust the pedals for smaller or bigger people.
It really needs rubber feet to stop it moving around, and perhaps a little more weight in the nose, as it has a tendency to turn slightly when getting in and out, but it's not a big problem.
For cable management, I've run the wires from the steering base down the support column, and then under the pedals, so they don't catch on feels during entry and egress. A slightly more elegant solution, with tabs for cable ties perhaps, would be a small improvement, or a hope specifically for cables to be run down.
But overall I like it a lot. I'd buy one for myself (I have a Playseat Challenge) if I had a bit more disposable income, and I think my friend will LOVE it when I install it in his house.
Well done Playseat, and thanks for the great customer support.
Highly recommended, with only very minor caveats. -

please playseat make a option for 4 actuators instead of the budget 2 system which won't sell people would easily upgrade even if it cost twice as much. -

All the parts appear to be a powder coated finish, giving them a uniform quality paint finish which should be extremely durable. The seat padding is of equal quality finish and fit. The seat took me approximately 20 minutes to assemble. All the screws go into captive nuts so there are no fiddly spanners needed. Just 3 types of Hex key are needed to assemble the complete seat (all supplied). There were additional screws provided which fitted the TX300 Thrustmaster steering wheel and pedals which we purchased separately to use with the Playseat.
Once assembled, adjusting it to suit my son and me should be simple. It's just 3 quick release levers (One on the steering column, one on the column slider, and one final one on the pedal slider assembly)
Overall, we couldn't have been more pleased. Worth every penny..............really! -
