I searched for many hours on the internet for the right driving simulator. When I came across the Playseat F1, I was impressed by the overall appearance of the product. My concern was the price was more than what I had planned on spending. But, as you can see by my 5 star rating in the price/quality category, that concern was alleviated once the product arrived and I could see and feel the quality in person. Definitely worth every penny.

Set up was extremely quick and simple. The instructions included were easy to follow, even for someone who is not mechanically-inclined. They even have a way to hide the wires of the steering wheel and pedals so the setup looks clean and professional.

Sitting in the chair for the first time just put me in the right frame of mind for playing racing games. I honestly felt like I was preparing for a real race. The seating position is surprisingly comfortable, and I've noticed I can play for hours without any discomfort or muscle and back fatigue. Even my lap times began dropping due to the realistic nature of this setup.

I highly recommend this to anyone thinking about a home racing simulator. Racing games are so much more realistic, exciting, and most importantly, fun when using the F1 Playseat. I am now addicted to playing simulator games, solely because of this seat!

+ Design wise it is an excelent looking chair. The Mercedes color scheme and the F1 position seating are really good.

+ The ergonomics are good although I noticed some back fatigue if I play for longer periods of time.

+ Mounting was somewhat easy but you might wanna take a helping hand just to make the process quicker and less troublesome. Everything came well packaged and I don't recall anything missing.

- The stickers are one of the faulty points of the chair. They peel too easily and as soon as I finished assembling the chair some of them were already starting to peel or with air bubles. For such an expensive chair I was expecting better sticker work or at least some sticker replacements in the box.

Overall this is a great product worth the price but without its flaws.

This is a really nice Playseat!

The Design is amazing, especially that there are brand cooperations. In my case with Mercedes AMG and I love it.

I am so impressed with Playseat as a company- the service I have had from Hans and the team has been exceptional.

Very quick and informative responses to my initial questions (pre-order) about the seat and logistics of getting into the UK given Brexit impacts. When there was an import issue this was resolved really quickly to my satisfaction. The seat itself had some damage to it when it arrived, again very quickly acknowledged and after a few questions and pictures a new part was on the way.

The seat itself is fantastic - very comfy - I could spend hours in it and will do. It looks great and about as close as you can get without getting in the real thing.

It’s exceeded my expectations - One very happy customer!!!

This is my first sim racing seat and after a lot of research with different brands I ended up with playseat. This is an amazing quality product, good weight, and strong. I am 5'10 190lbs (not fat lol) and fit perfect in it. Assembly was easy, took about 2 hours. Shipping was fast - although it came in 3 separate shipping (i ordered the mat as well) - would have been better if it was one box. Customer support is fast and very helpful. would definitely recommend this product.

After thinking about it for a long time, I ordered the Playseat Formula Pro from the Playseat store. Despite the Corona Pandemic, delivery was quick. So, during this covid time, I decided to build a racing sim setup. I spent several hours searching for the best cockpit around the internet. I came across the Playseat Formula black and contacted PlayseatStore. There was an instant reply by Hans that explained me everything. He even convinced me to change it to Playseat Pro Formula.
He was kind enough to offer me a Playseat floor mat which is really nice and just compliments the set up!
Everything was easy to mount, i didn't spend 10 minutes as written but was not more than 30/45 minutes.

I had a small issue with the lock system, where it was 'stuck'. This was the not so good part, where i sent a message via whatsapp to the number on the website ('30 seconds reply') and took some hours for the first reply and i am still waiting for another reply.

The good thing is that it wasn't stuck and i just needed a bit of force to move it just the first time. I had to figure it out by myself.

Overall, apart from this small issue i am very satisfied with the product. It is aesthetically pleasing, and really comfortable, making me think that i am in an actual F1 car.

After a long time of thinking, I ordered the Playseat Formula Pro on Playseatstore. The Playseat F1 Pro is the best compromise in seating position and design. That part looks great. The seating position is quite comfortable and you can also drive for several hours at a time. Delivery took place quickly despite the Corona Virus. The support of Playseatstore is very nice and helpful. Due to the super instructions , the setup was done in about an hour and easy to carry out with the enclosed tools. The feeling of driving is unique and it‘s always fun to sit in the seat and drive a few laps. I can recomend the Playseat F1 Pro to anyone who mainly plays formula simulation games. In this sense keep on racing!!!

I ordered online and received the whole package a few days later. (Had to pay $195 for customs but it's normal). Sure it takes a little time and efforts to assemble it but the result is worth it!! I found out that the steering wheel column was a little damaged (ripped) and Playseat support directly sent me another one free! Stunning product, stunning customer service!! Thank you Playseat!

I got this seat for my partner for Christmas and he is thrilled. He couldn't wait to set it up, it looks great, easy to put together, comfortable and easily adjustable for different users.

The service from the store (Hans - online) was fabulous and I was assisted in the purchase of the seat immensely. The delivery was unbelievably quick - 3 days to the UK!

One small issue we had though was the seat arrived via FEDEX in the one hour I was out of the house all day (I got an email with the day but not a time slot), so my partner signed for the boxes, which had not only the name of the company, but also 2 stickers on each box which said on it the actual item that was inside. He knew what his gift was but was good enough not to look at the boxes again until I hid them. If there is a chance you might be out during delivery, get it sent elsewhere!
This didn't take anything away for us, still thrilled but worth a mention!

Quality of the product is solid. A lot of reviews I read commented on flex, but I have a Fanatec Podium on this thing and no flex for me- solid build.

Another thing people mention is the bar in the middle as a problem. Since I primarily race f1, also not a huge issue for me as there is no clutch to worry about for me.

Product does sit low, and I would be very interested in buying a riser/platform if available.

Design is stellar. I imagine the licensing fee for this is crazy and is reflected in this cost, but man...it looks good.

Ordered on a Wednesday morning US ET time, product was shipped out almost immediately and delivered Friday afternoon US ET time. Less than 48 hours! Took time to assemble...read I am very bad with understanding visual instructions :). I would like to say it feels like a 2 person job (just with how heavy some of the parts are)...i did manage to get the thing assembled in a few hours. All my sim equipment is Fanatec; i.e., wheelbase Clubsport v2.5, clubsport formula v2 steering, CSL Elite pedals (with loadcell) connected to an Xbox One. Everything except the pedals went on seamlessly. The pedals/ pedal base could not be mounted with the screws I had (provided). I researched a little and people had done different things to mount...including drilling, etc. I have had issues with keeping the pedal/ pedal base stable in the past and have always found zip ties work awesome. Easy to install, easier to remove and crazy stability. Lined up 6 holes (3 on each side)...the pedals do not move a MM. Improved lap times starting with the first lap just with the seating position and overall comfort. This was my first order with Playseatstore. I was skeptical given my experience with Fanatec shipping, delivery and customer support. I am very very impressed! Maybe Playseat should work closely with Fanatec and help them improve their delivery and customer support. Definitely will be back for more...

I’m using my Fanatec equipment 4 times a week for minimum 50% race distances in F1 2020, and I tested the Playseat Challenge, NextLevelRacing F-GT and Playseat F1. I timed the order of my Mercedes seat so badly (my fault entirely) having deliberated into lock down they sold out! Anyway, I placed a pre-order and 2 weeks later it arrived, beautifully packaged. Being understandably cautious, it took no more than 90 minutes to assemble fully with my Fanatec wheel and pedals. When assembling you realise what you're paying for; the quality is obvious and this is only surpassed when you actually sit in the seat! It is so comfortable you could sit in it for hours. All I can say is there is nothing bad you can say about the Playseat Pro F1 and in the Mercedes colours it looks so good you won't want to hide it away.

Love the seat. It’s very sturdy and heavy, made of mostly metal components.

The seating position is a great way to know how it feels to sit in a F1 (or similar) car. Though after a while without lumbar support your back starts to ache a little.

It took me around 2hrs to get it fully assembled by myself. The main difficulty was getting the pedal stand in place due to its tight fitting. And the Logitech G29 pedal system doesn’t quite fit with the steering stand column getting in the way of the brake pedal. I’m looking into to switching the brake and clutch pedals.

It is very enjoyable and the games feel a lot more immersive than using a controller and I like to think it shaves a few tenths off (probably doesnt).

To give you a scale of size, it comfortably fits on a typical yoga mat (length and width) and the highest point (back of the seat) is around the standard height of a desk.

Very pleased with the purchase and I have received a lot of positive comments from it, mostly that it “looks immense”

The F1 Mercedes Playseat is a great new addition to my racing setup. I was looking for a seat specially designed for open wheel driving and the F1 Playseat fit the bill precisely. The seat was shipped right away and upon opening the boxes I discovered assembly instructions were clear and easy to follow. The engineering is superb. I managed to get most of the rig assembled without assistance, but needed an extra set of hands to line up the bolts on the seat back. I recommend getting all the bolts loosely in place first before tightening things down so everything has some room to fall into place. I am using the F1 Playseat with a Fanatec DD2 wheel. The wheel puts out a tremendous amount of torque and I have been pleased with how ridged the platform is. There is some occasional flex, but when driving it is not noticeable at all. I installed the V3 Fanatec pedals, but replaced them with the two pedal Elites because the V3 does not permit horizontal adjustment of the brake and clutch pedals, and a centerline brake is not comfortable with the main pedestal occupying the space immediately between your feet. The Elites allow for horizontal placement of the pedals which makes the rig extremely comfortable to drive. I may eventually buy a load cell, but we'll see how it goes. I do my driving in VR and I have the rig separate from my monitor, as well as apart from my mouse and keyboard. With the Rift S the knob on the back of the headset rests up against the headrest of the F1 Playseat. This results in a head forward tilt which can become uncomfortable over time. I resolved the issue with a cushion on my back. For non-VR drivers this won't be an issue, but if you drive VR you will likely need a cushion to eliminate the problem. It would be nice if the padded headrest could be removed, maybe in a future version. To solve the mouse issue I bought a Logitech wireless trackball mouse which now sits conveniently to the right of the Playseat. The adjustability of the rig for pedal and steering wheel reach is simply outstanding. The two knobs lock and unlock authoritatively and once set there is no movement, totally rock solid. This is great if you have guests as adjusting the rig is as simple as it gets. The bolts allowing the wheel unit to pivot up and down require a good deal of torque to hold them in place, but once secured there is no movement. Cables are nicely organized by sorting through the main pedestal to the wheel and then under the unit. The whole rig is extremely clean and pleasing to the eye, scratch that, it's gorgeous! Entry is fairly simple, just stand over the unit and settle into the seat, but I have yet to sort out an elegant way of dismounting. So far I do a tuck and roll. I am delighted with the purchase and would recommend it for anyone who is a fan of open wheel cars and especially F1.

I’m really really pleased with my Playseat, it arrived within a few days of ordering (ordered on a Friday night and had it by Wednesday afternoon which includes international shipping to The UK) and all the parts were very well packaged to protect them. I found no damage or paint defects on any parts. everything is finished to a really high standard which I’d expect for the cost of the item. Assembly was straight forward and done in a couple of hours, I thought the cotton gloves with the instructions to protect the paint finish was a great touch. Some parts were a bit fiddly too assemble (mounting the rail assembly into the frame) but with care and a bit of thought I got it in without scratching anything.

My only negative comment is that there is no guidance on mounting the steering wheel/pedals. I worked out that the extra leftover screws were to mount those bits and how to position them is relatively self explanatory once the seat is assembled.

Set up and positioning of the wheel and pedals is easy using the rails and the locks are very sturdy, be careful when setting the height of the wheel as I could see this as chance to easily scratch the paintwork.

Overall I’m really impressed with my playseat, using it is is great fun, it’s really comfortable driving position and it looks fantastic.

I got my fiancé the f1 playseat in red for Christmas, he loves competing in online races on gran turismo and F1 now that he can no longer competitively cart due to an injury. He absolutely loves it. It’s enhanced his race craft, the frame is extremely sturdy and solid so there’s no give when on the breaks or accelerator, it’s a fantastic rig. It looks amazing in the red and stands out in his gaming room. It was an investment but 100% worth it. My fiancé has never been comfortable in any of his gaming rigs due to being 6’2” but the adjustability of this rig is just perfect for him. He said it’s as close to being in a real f1 car as he will ever get.
