Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunPortable Racing RigThe Challenge is perfect for people who don't have a lot of space.
It is easy to set up, and break down for out of sight storage.
I have a G29 wheel and pedals mounted to mine, very sturdy and fully adjustable for anyone under 6' 1"
The overall design and fit is superb.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design Funcomfortable and space saverThe seat is very good for those who are lacking space, its comfortable and provides a good support. The place for securing the steering wheel is OK, but its not rock solid due to side mounting brackets.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunFoldable stabilityI'm hardcore simracer and I had my T300RS clamped to my desk with T3PA pedals leaning against a wall but still moving around too much. I have very little space and little money - when considering my options, these two facts limited my choice to either a wheel stand or fully foldable racing seat. With wheel stand you need also a good seat, which I don't really have.
So I was left with a fully foldable cheap racing seat option, and in the whole market Playseat Challenge was the one and only choice.
So I researched and bought it.
After 2 weeks of testing, I can give my pros and cons:
+ amazing stability, the wheel and the pedals are firmly in their place, neglegible moving/bouncing.
+ I can feel force feedback through all the seat construction
+ from fully folded to fully installed in less than 2 minutes
+ amazing foldability, very easy to store, even self-standing when folded
+ quite comfortable, I use it not only for racing, but also for other gaming and general PC usage
+ Quality of the materials looks very good
- the seat sometimes squeaks a little bit when not sitting still
- even with discounted price (200€) and despite the good build quality, it is still a little expensive. But hey, it's not mass produced so we can't expect amazing prices.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunexcellentFor someone with kids and a wife, not much room.. it is brilliant.
By Daniel from Ireland
Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunI no longer see my wife.........best gaming chair ever!!As an avid gamer, I found myself in the usual position of having to enjoy my racing games in the presence of my wife......periodically huffing and silently judging me with her eyes on the living room sofa. Additionally, to this, I was becoming completely fed-up of the back seat driving my wife was doing with her constant digs over my lap restarts and occasional off-track excursions. I needed somewhere more private and a seat with room for only 1 arse to fully focus on my extremely important gaming time.
Enter the Playseat Challenge!!
Perfectly compact to store under the spare room bed yet sturdy enough to enjoy hours of gaming and repeated bashings from the dual motor force feedback in my Logitech G29 wheel, with no one to distract me or offer their unwanted reviews on my driving mastery!
The alcantara seat material offers a very soft and comfortable seat with a perfect driving position and strong pedal support, and all this with the ability to hide the seat away when your parents visit and may be fooled into thinking your still a teenager with your own gaming setup.
All in all, a great piece of kit and will transform any driving game you play whilst making you feel like you could smash any F1 driver on a good day!
Top-TIP!! Add a strong door lock to your man cave for an even better, uninterrupted gaming experience and while you are at that, clip on a cup holder to the frame to keep hydrated and cool!
Must buy for any gamer!!

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunEntry level? No way! After toying around with my xbox 360 racing wheel again, after the "get back into playing some driving games" bug bit me... a racing wheel that I've had for so many years... I started looking around.
Wheels. Price points. Models, etc.
then I wondered, as I have always... "what about racing seats? aren't they huge, bulky and expensive?"... just a bit of clicking around and bam, I found this. The Playseat Challenge.
At first glance, just perfect. And it's not because of room - I have room for anything. But, it had all the potential. A great price point (that is, if you add a Challenge and a reasonable wheel it adds up to a comfortable price), the space saving always comes in handy (in terms of storage) and dare I say I was really actually intrigued, and pleased to see that it was .. well, looks great, comfy, with the smart materials where they matter. Soft touch at the top; that's where you'll touch. Strong yet just-right velcro straps where needed, and the right plastic/metal tube mix needed to offer you the lightweight and great price product.
Even the shopping experience (US east coast here). One day earlier than anticipated, so I was very pleasantly surprised when it arrived!
For reference, I use it with a Thrustmaster TMX with the better pedals, no shifter at the moment (happy paddle shifting but might get the shifter some day).
I hate to say I'm not sure I'd tell anybody dabbling lightly into this hobby to get any other seat than this one! (and if you already know more and lean to the higher end stuff, go ahead!)
Installation and packaging was top notch. Packaging was in my opinion above the price point. Every corner that could be damaged/knicked had foam or other protection on it. Installation is straightforward and for me perfect (maybe some people might want words not just pictures? but I think if you are capable of configuring wheel controls for video games you go this ;).
Finally, a data point. An eight year old is able to use it (with some pillows), as well as me (average height/build).
Kudos to Playseat for making this product!

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunPretty easy review to writeBack in 1998 I remember playing Gran Turismo for the first time and being blown away. Mostly because finally we have the game most of us idealized a proper racing game should be. In 2002 I got my first racing wheel. The first driving force gt. Which I had bolted to a dinner tray complete with a rocking recliner my grandad gave me. Not exactly ergonomical Lol. Hell, a gated shifter was unheard of. I used to imagine what a racing seat at home would be like. Fast forward too today where sim racing has become sort of a snobs hobby. It's expensive. You guys at playseat have found a very special niche with the challenge. Cost, comfort, reliability & functionality. I think finally, we have the rig most of us idealized a proper home rig should be.

Perfect playseat for what it is made for.
Good material, but a bit expensive what it has.
Generally, very recommended.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunExcellent Starter Seat But Has IssuesTo start, this is my first racing rig and I'm using the Logitech G29 with the Playseat Challenge. I do not have a shifter yet so it's just wheel and pedals for my setup.
Setting the seat up was a breeze, it folds easily and takes up surprisingly little space. The directions weren't bad, although it might be good to add some descriptions of things since it all is pictures. It's totally comfortable during racing although long sessions start to cause slight pressure points right above my knees where my thighs contact the chair, but if I lower the angle any further to reduce that pressure then the headrest is in an awkward position and has too steep an angle. Still comfortable though, just take a break every hour or so you'll have no problems. With that said, it's very adjustable which is cool. I haven't had anyone else race on it besides myself but I know that I'd be able to adjust it to their height, etc.
I'm already experiencing the fabric popping out from behind the small plastic windows near the headrest and I've had to use a pointy object to kinda cram it back in there which was annoying to see after only a few weeks of it sitting around and maybe seeing 20 hours of use. Only a cosmetic issue but still, not a great sign considering my other qualms with this seat.
Also the latch point of the wheel mount cross bar immediately starts showing wear due to it making very solid contact when in the locked driving position. I don't think it'll cause any problems but I'm mildly concerned about the long term durability since there are metal parts contacting plastic parts.
Same goes for the wheel rotation position adjustment. Even when firmly in place there's a fair amount of wiggle room. It makes me feel slightly nervous about racing roughly (hard corners and whatnot) and I end up re-tightening the knob every 30 minutes or so just to make sure it's still in place. With that said, it's cool that this seat can adjust the wheel angle since plenty of mounts cannot.
Cord management is fine, and there are plenty of extra velcro pieces that you can use to tie cords where you want them to be.
The seat might feel flimsy and start to tip easily when you aren't sitting in it, but don't let that fool you. That's part of what makes this rig's overall design cool because it's solid as a rock when you're sitting in it. Your weight is vital to the stability of the seat.
I'm not the biggest fan of the way the chair adjusts the distance to the pedals. It appears to be just a single plastic pin on each side that "screws" down to hold the bars in place at the desired extension. I would much prefer a more concrete setting like it was locking into a hole in the metal bar (similar to the way the rotation wheel mount secures to the left side of the seat). I say this because I didn't turn them enough the first time and when I hit the brakes hard at one point during a race the whole thing started to lurch forward a bit and I had to pause in order to tighten things down into the correct position again. When I tightened the pins down harder than the first time it just didn't feel right because I feel like I'm gonna break the small plastic part. And they could still come loose easily and cause the same issue. Maybe I'm missing something obvious which solves that problem. I guess just beware, make sure you've got everything secured.
Solid seat, but I do think this thing is kinda pricey. I got it on sale, but the suggested retail is $270. If you can spare the extra ~$100 just get one of the Evolution seats unless the storage space of the Challenge is a must for you, since I bet the full seat rigs are much sturdier and solid. But if space is the concern you cannot go wrong with this seat.
I'm happy with the purchase. It definitely solidified my love of racing games since driving with a real wheel in a real seat is super awesome.
By Dundee from Australia
Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunCouldn't be happier!I was convinced to purchase this seat after reading other glowing reviews, and, frankly, they are spot on.
Firstly, it arrived before the anticipated arrival date.
The seat build quality is surprisingly good. The many levels of adjustability means everyone - family and friends - can find a comfortable position. It is sturdy and stable - made all the more so, thanks to your body weight holding it down. It doesn't feel like a "portable" rig, but the fact that it folds out of the way is a major bonus!
My one criticism is minor - the manual uses pictograms, which are generally self-explanatory. But it comes with a bag of accessories (bolts, straps, velcro strips) whose functions are not necessarily obvious, if you've never used a steering wheel before. The manual could be a bit more explicit about their functions.
Overall, excellent value, without compromising quality and stability. I highly recommend it. All my mates who've given it a go are planning to purchase one too.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunPlayseat challengeI've had a few racing sim seats the last was a play seat evolution,
But the challenge is super comfortable it sits up a little higher and you don't have a bar between your knees,
pretty solid, if I could change one thing it would like to be able to adjust the angle of the pedal stand but other than that for the price better than anything on the market.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunYou might think you have no room for a Playseat, but think againFirst of all, I have the Thrustmaster TX Ferrari 458 Italia Edition for Xbox One/PC. It fits perfect. I haven't spent a ton of time in the chair yet, but I haven't noticed the pedals move and the wheel is not moving around on me.
The real reason I want to write this review, however, is to talk about how this fits in an amazingly small space. I have an incredibly small bedroom, and I never believed I could get a chair that would fit, still be comfortable and securely hold my wheel and pedals. After a very long debate with myself (months), I bought the Playseat Challenge to see if I could make it work. I honestly expected to return it a few days later, upset that it wouldn't fit in my room.
Amazingly, it does, and comfortably so. Yes, folded up it can be stuck just about anywhere. It really does fold down as small as it seems in the video. When I assembled mine I didn't adjust it much. I'm not leaning way back, and it's actually comfortable for me to have the pedals closest to the seat. I'm 6 feet tall, by the way, and even like this I'm very comfortable and not cramped. My knees are not hitting the base of the wheel or getting in the way. There is just enough space in my room for me to sit like this. I could maybe bring the pedals out an inch farther, maybe lean the seat back just barely more, but luckily don't have to.
Everything else about this chair is great as well. The material of the seat feels very heavy duty, and I do not worry about it. It's comfortable material as well. My longest play session in it is probably two hours, and I never got uncomfortable.
This is an easy five star review for me. Great material, seems very durable, comfortable, and it can actually fit in my super tiny bedroom. Amazing!

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunGorgeous!Playseat quality, no doubt about it!
If you have space problem this is the solution!
I think there not could be any solution better than this..yeah, maybe the pedal and the gearshift support could be a little better but no problem at all!
and extremely fast spedition!!

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunAwesome seat, good supportOverall I am very happy with this seat.
Its not that comfortable and stable like an evolution or something like that, but its good enough to make a lot of fun.
After 8 hours of playing I have not felt any pain but you have to get in a good position first.
The first chair I recieved was damaged (rusty)but it was replaced within 2 days. Also the delivery just took 2 days.
So if you want a cheap seat or dont have that much space, go with the Challenge!
* Tested with F1 2015 by Codemasters and Project Cars on PC/PS4 and Logitech G29.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design Funbest buy in the last yearsThis playseat challenge is the perfect solution if you want a racing rig in your living room.
I can fold it open in one minute and start racing. Same thing if i want to store it again.
Works perfect with the thrustmaster T300GTE, and much better then a wheelstand pro wich i use to have.
It's very comfortable also, you can adjust almost everything, the seat position, lumbar support, wheel height,..
I used to have back pain when racing with my wheel stand pro, since i have the playseat challenge, i didn't experienced any pain at all.
A must buy for everyone who has no place for a real rig, and way better then any wheelstand out there.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunOverall Great Chair for the Money...This is a great chair for someone who doesn't have a lot of space, or just wanting to start out, as I had needed it for both aspects...
It works great for my Logitech G920, and all you need to do is screw it in, and place the additional gear shifter and you're good to go. There are many things that are great about this chair, such as the adjustable pedal holder, or the adjustable wheel angle... The fold up feature works great for just sliding into a closet or against the wall and out of the way, and it doesn't even take more than 5-6 minutes for you to put it all away. For the price it's just overall a great beginner cockpit...

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunOverall great experienceThis has definitely been an upgrade from the wheel stand, and the mobility and design are perfect for a small apartment.
- clever design perfect for small spaces
- seat is surprisingly comfortable
- adds to the immersion
- easy to setup
- fast shipping to the US
- reasonable price
- wheel deck is a little tilted
- the gear shifter attachment is far too expensive for what it is
- using a load cell, and the pedals tend to move around a little bit after a session. They haven't detached from the base, but it would be better if there existed a more solid connection between the base and the rest of the seat.
- pedals are only attached via one piece of Velcro onto the pedal base. adds another layer of movement.
Satisfied overall with the challenge.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunWorth the priceI absolutely love the Playseatprojectcars Challenge. It was shipped to me in only 3 days, it was well packaged and very easy to set up. The quality of the rig was fantastic and it is very comfortable. The fact that it folds up and stores away was perfect for me because my wife would not allow a permanent rig in our living room lol. I would recommend this to anyone looking for something affordable and for someone hard on space.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunPerfect for my application! This seat is perfect for someone who wants more than a wheel stand but doesn't need a full blown rig. The price was ideal (I got it during a sale and it was shipped to the US for under $250). I couldn't be happier with the purchase. It is much more immersive then a wheel stand or desk mounted wheel, yet you don't need to dedicate an entire room to your setup. I just pull the seat up to my desk or T.V. depending on what I wanted to play that day, plug it in and race. The versatility of this chair is what gives it it's value. You can play on console or pc and not have to build a dedicated set up for either. And when you are done, you can take 5 minutes to fold it up and put it in the closet or somewhere out of the way. This is a huge bonus since I think it actually makes the wheel and pedals take up less room then they would if you had to store them on their own. So even though you have a seat with your set, it actually takes up less room!

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunFantastic piece of kit! This is a perfect seat for a casual racer or someone with limited space.
I've used high end seats before and this is honestly an excellent compromise.
The seat has plenty of adjustment to suit many shapes and sizes. My friend is much taller than me and it took seconds to adjust the seat for him to play.
I have played for hours in it and had no cramp or uncomfortable aches afterwards.
It's extremely well built and very sold whilst using it.
Overall I'm delighted with the seat and I can highly recommend it.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunChallenge - great quality seatShipped extremely fast, delivered to Kansas in 4 days. I enjoyed tracking across the globe.
The selling point for me was the portability and this a great fit. I can place the seat in front of my 70" tv for racing session and break it down in 5 minutes.
The challenge is built well and very durable. My Thrustmaster TX doesn't move on mount at all. Extremely happy with this seat.
The only negative is not having a built in shifter mount.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunOverall I'm happy with my purchaseFirst the Pros:
1) Great design and quality
2) Very comfortable and adaptable to any person, driving position or peripheral
3) Quick and easy setup and storage
5) A fun simulation driving experience
Cons / flaws:
1) After all costs considered a bit pricey considering what you get: Euro dollar, Dutch taxes, shipping cost, duty and Canadian taxes.
2) The steering wheel platform is a little tilted
3) The steering support arm and attachment are not solid; the steering wheel is allowed to wiggle.
4) The pedal platform cannot withstand heavy pushes on the break pedal. Using the Ricmotech load module modification for my G25 pedals, the pedal attachment arms became unglued.
5) The seat does not include a gear shift attachment
By Jaceracer from United States
Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunPerfect compromise setupThis seat is the perfect compromise between a full simulator setup and a wheel stand. The full simulator setup is a bachelor pad only item. The wheel stands remind me of a TV tray my grandma would bring out. They are not very comfortable.
I'm very happy with the Playseat Challenge so far. They did a great job of keeping it light weight yet strong and functional.
By Sean from United States
Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunThe best portable racing experience on the marketI'm a newbie when it comes to extending the videogame racing experience beyond the default Playstation controllers, but decided to take the plunge and bought a G29 wheel/pedal set. My next decision was what type of wheel stand to buy - at this point I assumed that a cockpit set-up was beyond my budget and I needed a portable solution that I could stow away when not being used. But then, for a similar price, I stumbled across the Playseat Challenge and found lots of positive reviews, so decided to take the plunge. The seat arrived at my home shortly afterwards and was packaged immaculately. It took just a few minutes to set-up and after adding my G29 I was literally off to the races. It's amazing how immersive the experience becomes when you're sitting in the seat. The seat is robust and comfortable with little design flairs that make it feel very professional. The clever design allows you to completely customize the seating, wheel and pedal positions. And once you're done racing for the day, it folds up in seconds and stores easily in a closet. I'm so glad I chose the Playstation Challenge instead of a wheel stand and would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to take their videogame racing experience to the next level.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunThe glowing reviews just keep coming, don't they? :)My PlaySeat Challenge is perhaps one of the best value for money purchases I made ever. Coupled with my Thrustmaster T150, it is a pair made in armchair motorsport heaven.
Oh - thank you for providing those extra velcro straps.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunPlayseat Challenge a very stable seat for a fold up!You won't be disspointed with the palyseat challenge, I have bought it because I can store it away with my full G29 wheel on it. Setting it up is really easy, the seat is very well adjustable, and your own weight make it's very stable to use. The wheel bolds onto the wheel mount with the screws that come with the seat.
I am 1.86m long and still have enough space to adjust the pedals for comfortable driving. Good build quality for a good price.
Recommend for store away solutions!

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunExcellentI've never owned a seat to use with my XBOX. Purchased the Challenge and received it a week ago. This seat has made a major difference in how well I'm driving in Forza 6. I'm winning and increasing the difficulty of the game as I go. I don't want to just win every time I play, I want to make it competitive. I would recommend the PlaySeat Challenge to anyone who may have a budget or someone that is not playing driving games all the time. WHAT A DIFFERENCE IT HAS MADE!!!!!

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunAwesome product for the money spentI am more than satisfied with this setup. It's quite comfortable (although a little on the narrow side) and extremely adjustable. Sim Racing is now a reality with this setup!
One of the strengths of this seat is the ability to be able to fold it up and stash away. My wife really loves this!
Very highly recommended.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunPerfect! My son and I have been using our new Playseat for the last two weeks and we absolutely love it. It adjusts quickly and is perfect for our driving games/sims. My one caution would be do not try and adjust the seat while sitting in it because we ended up on the floor.
The portability of it makes it perfect for people who cannot dedicate a large amount of space for a regular chair. I can only give very positive feedback for this fun and solid chair.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design Funoverall this thing rocksI love it, few complaints really. At 5'8" it works well I would imagine if you were much bigger it wouldn't work well. Mostly due to the fact that the area where the wheel bar crosses feels thin and constricting. Although this and a minor bend needed to fix the alignment of the wheel mount bar I would buy and reccommended this and have had a few friends buy it aswell.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design Funamazing producti just can say that it hold all this time like a boss of course after couple hours when i start sweat like a pig the seat material become wet as well but as a high quality material it was still confortable to drive and sit on it of course would be way better driving i think on a leather seat but playseat challange seat make a great job as well and i dont need to be worried about that can something go wrong with seat. so im happy about this your product but i will give 8/10 because no gear box holder and would be more comfortable that all rim would be a little bit wider but if we dont watch in these two options then 10/10 ;)
but its only two problems wich i saw after hard using this seat
the advantages of this seat is
giving all experiance of simulation
love that i can controle seat how i want in all ways
stability is amazing
all those high quality stickers blowing my mind how they can hold me because my weight is 90kg
and of course i love that high quality material
and all design is really cool so just let you know that is amazing product. thank you.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunAmazing setup for small spaceThis seat is perfect for my small room and has helped me streamline my sim racing setup. It takes me less than a minute to get set up and a minute to put everything away. Overall the seat is very comfortable and I've put in several long sessions on iRacing without a problem. My G25 is mounted really securely and there are no stability problems with the seat. Overall, if you're looking for a seat and live in a small space this setup is for you!

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunBest seat on the marketThe Playseat is tailor-made to suit the modern family home - allowing you to immerse yourself & enjoy the thrills of driving simulators, then easily + quickly pack away to a compact size.
Only 2 things I would change:
1) Comfort - make slightly wider... particularly where the legs sit against the side strap mounts
2) Price - whilst it is a good design & quality build...this is quite an expensive item for what you get.
Certainly is lots of fun!

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunGreat, but it hurt.Excited to finally purchase and glad when it finally arrived but then became so busy that it has taken 2 months to get around to assemble it which was a breeze. But then stupid me decided for whatever reason to undo the straps for the seat while sitting in it and the whole thing collapsed and boy did it hurt, part of the challenge hit a wound that was healing on my shin and re-opened it lol. Anyway dont be a dumbass like me and adjust while sitting, just get up and adjust little here and there. Other than that I love this rig :-)

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunBest Value for the MoneyThis is the first racing chair that I've owned, so I have nothing else to compare it to other than regular office chairs. I'm going to go line by line for the product ratings. TL;DR? Look at Overall at the end.
Can't argue too much here. This is their lowest priced seat, and is the most practical of the bunch as well. Got a cramped living space? Got kids? Most importantly, got a wife/girlfriend who won't let you put a permanent rig in the middle of the living room or bedroom? This is the chair for you! I've got a family of six living in a three bedroom house, so space is a bit at a premium. I can fold the chair down and put it away out of sight easy. None of the other chairs offered by Playseat can do this. You'd think they'd charge a premium for it being practical, but not so. I'm pleased with what I got for the money I paid. It's not perfect, but few things in this world are.
This chair is very, very comfortable once you've got it set up how you like. I've fallen asleep in this thing because of how it cradles you. It may be a little too comfortable in that case. There's only one minor ding I have against it in the comfort category, but I'm going to leave that criticism in the design section.
Design: The guys at Playseat actually did a pretty good job designing this seat considering the value you get for it. I've got some problems with the chair, and this part of the review is going to mostly go over the negatives I have with the design.
I've got a Logitech G27 (as I'm sure most people who opt for an entry-level setup do), and the wheel itself mounts up perfectly to the mounting plate. They include the hardware you need. You just line up the wheel with the holes on the plate and mount it on. There's a big knob on the bottom of the plate for adjusting the tilt on the wheel. The knob tightens down a small, plastic splined piece into a mating splined piece on the plate itself. This makes the wheel fairly secure when tightened and has a minimum of slop. My only concern is that both spline surfaces are plastic, so the teeth might get chewed up if you don't tighten the pieces down perfectly straight and aligned with each other. Just take care with alignment and there should be no long-term troubles. Will you be adjusting this a lot? That depends. If you put the chair away after use, you will be adjusting this every single time you. Same with the pedals.
In order to get a G27 to work with this, you have to buy an additional bracket to mount it to the main wheel. If you're handy, you can buy an L bracket at a home center and fabricate your own, but I didn't mind paying for it. The shifter screws onto the plate, and the plate is clamped into the wheel with its main clamps. That's it. The problem with this design is that you can't fold the chair up with the shifter installed. You have to unclamp the bracket and slide it out of the wheel. With a little effort you can figure out how to fold the chair up and keep the shifter nice and tidy when folded, but it's an added hassle.
One major positive to how the seat is designed is how the entire wheel section pivots out of the way for you to get in and out of the seat. There's an extension arm at the foot of the chair to compensate for the balance when this is done. The chair would flop over without it, so it's good they included that feature.
The chair is a bit of a hassle to get in and out of. It's slung very low, which is part of why it's so comfortable. But getting in and out can be a chore.
Now onto the pedals. There has been a lot of criticism about the red plastic screws on the foot pedals breaking. I'm going to tell you the reason they break is that people over-tighten them. A lot. You don't need to go at them like a 400 pound gorilla. Give them about a half turn once you start to feel them making contact with the bar. Make them snug, not tight. Do this and your screws won't break, and they'll hold just fine. That having been said, I wish they could have put detents into the bar for easily repeatable settings. One of the more appealing aspects of this chair is that you can fold it up and put it away. The downside to this is that you lose your pedal setting every single time you put it away. One work around for this is to get the pedals adjusted how you like, and then mark the bars with pencil so that you can see where to lock the sliders down. A bit of a hassle, but certainly not a deal-breaker.
A nice aspect is that the bar itself pivots up and down. You can fold up a towel, find a box or something else, and adjust the pedal angle. There's no built-in clamp for angle adjustment, but at this price point what can you expect?
And now for the biggest beef I have with the entire chair. This would be an absolute deal-breaker for some people--the chair is very, very, VERY narrow. I don't know who Playseat has working in their testing/QA department, but they all must be super skinny and small. I can't believe no one noticed and/or addressed this issue before deployment. I'm not a big person by any means, and I barely squeeze into it. There are metal rings used to connect the arm straps to the bars. These rings cut into my thighs because of how narrow the chair is. If you're built like a child, have no worries. If you're average sized, take caution. If you're a big boy or girl, forget it. Playseat's lack of attention on this one aspect is appalling.
Is it fun? You bet. Once you get it set up, it's a lot of fun. Your wheel and cables are a one-time setup once you've got the wheel base aligned with the plate and the wires wrapped to the lengths you need. Adjusting wheel tilt and pedal length every time sucks, but the chair folds up, so it's a given. One last ding on the fun factor is how heavy this rig is once you have everything installed. With a G27 setup, this thing weighs about 35 lbs (or approximately 16 kgs). Weight and adjustments are downsides, but don't ding the final score because there's little Playseat could do to change these things. It simply comes with the territory.
The TL;DR version: A great entry-level chair for people on a budget or people who have a demanding roommate. The only chair in the lineup that folds up to be put away. Build quality is good. Be gentle with the plastic, ESPECIALLY the pedal screws (snug, NOT tight). Take caution if you're a big person because the chair is extremely narrow. It's a lot of fun, negatives aside, and you'll never go back to an office chair after experiencing this. Definitely worth the money. Go get one. Now.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunAAA+++ GREAT Driving SeatThe Playseat Challenge is easy to set up and take down. Easy storage and is lightweight for moving from room to room if you need to store the unit after each use. This unit is well worth every penny.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunAwesome productThis thing is awesome and goes great with the Logitech wheel. I have sat in it for hours playing several times. Being able to fold it up and out of the way when I'm not using it is also great. The only complaint I have is the pedal rest clamps are glued on so if your rough on the pedals like I am then you will eventually push the assembly out of the clamps like I did.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunNice Setup For Racing In A Small SpaceOverall I think this chair is a great value at the price. It is stable, well designed, and pretty comfortable for a fold up. Easy to set up and easy to fold and store. My one complaint is the pedal platform adjusters are not sturdy and broke loose quickly with aggressive braking pressure. I remedied this by wrapping a car tie down around the pedal system and chair bottom and I'm good to go. A strap of this sort might prove an simpler and more robust answer instead of the weak plastic fittings. As I have very limited space to set up in, and as I need to keep the area clear at other times, this chair is a perfect solution for me.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunFun, easy setupThe playseat challenge is really quick to setup. Storage is a big plus for this seat because it folds up with the steering wheel and pedals attached. It's is really easy to use. The steering wheel and pedal is very sturdy. Adjustable straps and locks for the seat to fit people of all sizes. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design Fungreat product but overpriced after exchange and dutiesFirst off I must say I really love using this thing. After a little trial and adjustment I have it set to a very comfortable driving position that I can maintain for hours of online racing. I have the room to leave it set up all the time and my cat also finds it very comfortable when I'm not using it.
The only negative is at current exchange rates and with taxes and duties added on it ended up costing me twice as much as the price listed on the American web site. Delivery also took 5 days.
I'd recommend this thing to anyone with limited space and or lower back problems who like racing but have a hard time sitting for any length of time. Just make sure you figure out what it's going to really cost you before deciding to order

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunComfy, and versatileGood seat after racing in it for an hour or more I can stand up and not be cramped or sore. Playing Forza 6 in first person view is a treat!
I have also found myself using the chair without the wheel as a gaming chair. So this seat is not exclusively for racing.
My only criticism is that there could be a wider version. As a 6 foot 200 pound person I'm close to the limit of the size of human this chair will comfortably accommodate.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunThe best option for those with no permanent spaceFor all you guys out there wishing you would have a nice racing rig but you're worried about the wife factor: this is your solution!
My wife was totally against a cockpit standing in our living room and that force me to play with a gamepad for long time.
Until I found out about Playseat Challenge and after showing her some pictures/videos, I finally got "approval" to pull the trigger!
Actually the other day after playing at night I forgot to put it inside the cabinet again and found out my wife sitting on it reading a book. So yes, it's really comfortable and flexible :)
Now about the Challenge as a product.
There are lots of Pros:
It's much more comfortable that I had thought. Really, you can sit there for hours and not feel tired. I think it's even more comfortable than regular office chairs or some seating avaiable in other cockpits.
It really adapts to your body shape and weight. You just feel that you're safe and steady, like in a real racing seat.
Another thing I've liked is there is no central support between your legs. In this sense it's also more like a real car than most cockpits.
The build quality is quite high. The material your body will be in contact is really nice, it feels great and not sweaty as leather seats. The structure is sturdy enough. I have it for a short time, but it does look like it will last long.
Assembling was a piece of cake. Provided assembly manual is very clear, you just follow the steps and it's ready to be used in a few minutes.
I've bought a Thrustmaster T300RS together, so let's talk about putting both together.
The wheel base fits nicely, attached with 2 screws included in Challenge package. Balance is quite good as it's the position to drive. There is a simple adjustment on the lower part of the wheel base support, allowing to turn it up/down to your own preference.
Pedal set included with T300RS can be fixed with an included stripe and it stays in place when driving.
To be fair there are a few cons, but I'd say they are more related to the Thrustmaster T300RS fitting in this product than the product itself. You may have different opinion if using different racing wheel.
But let's talk about them: when not in use, you'll probably want to close the Challenge for easy storage, as this is probably the reason you bought it anyway. The thing is, the way the wheel base is attached to the support (and there is no other way to attach it), make it impossible to fully close the Challenge, as the wheel itself will hit the chair fabric in the bottom part.
If you have a different wheel that the base is attached further, this won't happen. In my case I have to open a strap everytime I want to fully close the Challenge, which is not a big deal, but not nice as well.
Another con is how the pedals are attached to the base. There are no screws or plate to attach. Just a strap to go around the pedals and the Challenge base. Since T300RS standard pedals are on the small side, it's a little loose. There is stopper in the base though, so when playing I don't feel any movement as pressing the pedals just make it go agains the stopper anyway.
Attached picture showing the cons only, but the pros outweigh the cons for sure.
It doesn't get maximum stars for all criteria just because of that.
Overall Challenge is a really nice and well designed product, I totally recommend it!
If you don't want (or can't) your racing rig using your room space all the time, this is what you should buy.
It's really much better than those things that you only attach your wheel/pedals and you have to sit on the sofa.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunPlayseat Challenge fit racing needs perfectlyMy gaming chair used for racing finally wore out and I started looking for a replacement. I needed a seat that was comfortable, and could be stored easily. I involved my wife in the process of determining the best option and we both found the Playseat Challenge appeared to be the best option. I ordered the seat directly from Playseat and the process was easy, fast, and actually fun. I monitored the seats journey via FedEx from start to finish as it traversed the globe. The seat arrived in excellent shape and I was able to assemble it in minutes. The materials are of excellent quality, from the Alcantara seat to the tubular chair frame, wheel platform, and high quality Velcro straps. My racing wheel and pedals attached easily and are very stable. I am able to race for long period of time without fatigued or becoming uncomfortable. An added bonus to the Playseat Challenge is the absence the wheel platform post found on other seat seat ups. There is no post between your legs! Thank you Playseat for providing an alternative to larger more fixed racing simulator chairs. See you at the races.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunExactly what I needed with no sacrifice in quality!I am constantly moving for my job from one apartment to another apartment. Practically speaking, a full size gaming chair set up wouldn't work with my living situations. However, I needed something for iracing. I looked around and most of what I found online was cheap looking, or uncomfortable looking, or some sort of do it yourself project. That is until I found the challenge playseat.
The collapsible design is perfect for small apartment living, or for someone who likes to store their gaming chair away when not in use. It was very simple to get up and going out of the box as well.
It is somewhat heavy once the pedals and wheel are attached, but that should be expected. The quality of the build on this chair is worth the extra weight anyway. There is no noticeable wobble and the chair is comfortable enough to get through endurance races without much issue!
I only have two small issues, or quirks, rather. One, I had to use some of the foam in the box to make little anti scuff pads so that the chair didn't scratch my hard wood floor. 2. I'm having problems with wire management. The wires from my g27, if not wrapped around one of the legs, fall right on my legs which can get tangled. But that's not necessarily a chair problem, and more of a system one.
Anyway. This thing is great! The same feel and security as a larger set up with the added bonus of storability! I would recommend this product.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunPerfect for RacingThe chair fits perfectly to the body and gives a very good feeling. You think you are sitting in the race car. It can be stowed very good and super easy to fold. Very space saving. The price is okay. The materials are high. The chair is very recommendable. I use it for F1 2015 and Project Cars on the PS4 and for GT6 on the PS3. It is the best chair that i ever had. When you don't have a lot of space is this the best choice.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunLove itAm using the chair for over a month now and have to say I love it. Its really well built, really sturdy and very comfortable. I can sit in it for hours without issue. Its highly adjustable as well to suit all body shapes. I'm 1.9m tall and weigh 83kg and I am aable to get everyhting perfectly adjust for comfortable seating relative to the height of my screen. As for folding it away, its faultless and very compact. It fits perfectly and unobtrusively under my stairs and its great that you can leave the wheel and pedals attached. If space is an issue for you but you don't want to compromise on quality then this is the chair for you.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunGreat seat, adjustable, portable, no real weaknessesMy review summary really says it all. I'm very happy with this seat. The only caveat is something that I've read from someone else as well - The clips that connect the pedal bracket to the bottom of the chair itself seem rather fragile, so I'm always sure to lift the pedal brack up a little before I slide the whole seat off to the side of my desk when I'm not using it.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunPerfect for those with limited spaceI've long hankered after a wheel & pedal set-up but was put off because most of the chairs I'd seen were way too large for my very small front room and it just didn't feel right using a stand with my existing computer chair.
Then someone told me about the PlaySeat Challange. At first I thought it was expensive for a 'fold down chair' but after reading some online reviews I took the plunge and I have to say, it's been a fantastic purchase.
The quality of the components is 1st class, assembly was ridiculously easy. From opening the box to sitting in the chair i spent less than 15 minutes. The instructions were extremely easy to follow but in all honesty you could put it together without them as there are just a few pieces to slot together.
And the comfort, oh how comfortable it is! I easily found myself playing for 2/3hrs without getting out of it, it's super comfortable. When in use it pretty much fills up what free floor space I have, as you can see from the photo but it quickly folds down for storage taking up minimal space. So compact it fits into the back of the wardrobe.
I have no hesitation in recommending the PlaySeat Challenge for those with either limited space or a limited budget. You will not be disappointed.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunGreat productI purchased this because is the only option that can easily be put away after playing, and if initially I had my reservations about the price and build quality, once I used it it is definitely worth the price.
It is quite sturdy (I'm using a TX on it), I can play for hours without feeling tired or uncomfortable, and once I'm done, I can easily put it away and use close to no space at all.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunNot quite compatible with all steering wheelsThe Playseat Challenge is a fine product. To be able to fold it up and put out of the way is a must if you don’t have limitless space.
The only negative part of the aquisition was the promise that it was compatible with all steering wheels and pedals currently available. This might have been technicaly true, but in the case of my Thrustmaster T80 (and other wheels with similar mounting systems) this ment that the only way it could be mounted was with the wheel almost touching my chest. So it was succesfully mount but obviously not in a way that I could use. In order to usefully mount the wheel I found an adaptor from Wheel Stand Pro (€17,99) and I drilled a two extra holes in the mountingplaform. Now it fits great and I’m glad to own the Playseat Challenge. I just found the assurance of near universal compatabilty somewhat misleading.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunA review of the Playseat ChallengePros: Comfortable, foldable, stable and very quick to set up
Cons: Quite pricey, I wonder about long term durability
This will be a short review of the Playseat Challenge intended to provide information to those interested in the seat who are unable to see it in person prior to ordering. As Playseat don’t have many local stockists I suspect that most people will be ordering without ever having seen the chair themselves, as I did.
I purchased the chair from the Playseat UK store and it arrived a week later well packaged from Italy. Upon opening the box initial impressions were good; the alcantara material used for the seat is very soft and feels high quality, the metal frame tubing powder coated evenly with no marks or damage. Assembly of the seat was straightforward with adequate instructions provided.
My Logitech G27 wheel mounted solidly using the supplied allen key and bolts. The wheel stand is metal with predrilled holes for various wheel manufacturers and according to the Playseat website it “works with all steering wheels and pedals currently available” – I assume this is because you could simply clamp your wheel to the stand as you would on a normal desk in the event that the Challenge doesn’t have pre-drilled holes for your wheel type. The wheel angle is adjustable by a clamp on the bottom side and allows for a wide range of adjustment. Once clamped the wheel feels solid enough in place with a slight forward/backward flex when applying force but importantly there is no sideways play. I can say that the forward/backward flex is small enough as to be not noticeable during gameplay, it’s a non-issue.
I have the Playseat Gearshift Support bracket to mount the G27’s gear shift unit. There’s not much to say on it, it’s essentially a straight bracket mounted to the seat using the gear shifter and wheel’s own clamps. It allows you to mount the shifter on the left or right hand side of the wheel.
To the front of the chair the pedals are mounted with a Velcro strap to a telescopic frame allowing adjustment for different lengths according to your height. Here we find my only gripe with the Playseat Challenge – the clamping thumbscrews which allow for the telescopic adjustment are made of plastic and I’d prefer them to have a metal thread improving their durability. The pedal angle is not adjustable which may be a problem for some however I imagine it would be possible to pack out the bottom of your pedals to angle them if this was a big concern.
In use, I really like the Challenge. It’s adjustable enough to go from an almost lying down F1 style seating position to a more upright touring car position and everywhere in-between whilst being comfortable enough to be used for long periods of time. I’m setting the chair up at my desk and pulling my monitor forward so that the screen is just above the steering wheel and it works well. It takes me about 30 seconds to open the chair up (just like a deck chair) and connect it to mains and USB, it’s much quicker than having to clamp a wheel to a desk every time you feel like playing and it folds away small enough (60 x 49 x 38 cm folded) to allow me to store it in a wardrobe. This is very important to me as I can’t/don’t want to have a permanent Playseat setup. The Challenge would be great for use in a living room setup being light enough to move around and pack away.
Overall I have no qualms recommending the Playseat Challenge, I’ve been enjoying mine for 2 months now without issue. I do wonder how its long term durability will be, will the alcantara seating material stretch over time? Will the plastic thumbscrews wear out? However for now these are if’s and but’s, I have no evidence anything will fail and the chair feels solidly put together.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunExellent quality and easy to setup and use.The seat is excellent quality and very easy to setup and use. The adjustments allow for setting the seat up for a great driving experience. The platform that the pedals attach to could be made to allow a more stable connection, the Velcro strip that is used to strap down the pedal platform will sometimes come loose and the pedals will slip. The ability of the chair to fold up and be stored is awesome, this allows for persons with limited space to own and use this seat. The only draw back of storing the seat was that the dye from the material of the seat leached onto the wall that it was leaned up against and has proven very difficult to remove or cover up. I would recommend that if the seat is leaned up against something else while stored that a cover be put over it or something placed between the seat and whatever it is up against.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunPerfect for what its designed forI am a college student, living in a 510 sq/ft studio appartment, I am also addicted to Iracing. The Playseat challenge folds up perfectly to fit in my home. The seat is perfectly comfortable, and you can adjust it from a F1 style seating position to a Nascar position. The thing is also solid, i get little to no wiggle out of it when racing. One problem had was the little plastic peaces that hold the pedals on snapped, making it a bit harder to fold up and a little less stable. I would say that is the only cheap part on this seat though. I would recommend this to anyone.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunAwesome Seat for your Casual RacerThis seat has impressed me in many ways. While I feel it is a little pricey, don't be fooled. This seat is made of high quality materials that you could not just make up at home. The seat is ridiculously ergonomically friendly, and the way it folds out can fit anyone. I would recommend this seat to all my friends. It folds up super nicely when you're done playing and can be placed under the bed or in the closet. You know what that means? The wife cannot get mad because it doesn't take up a lot of space! All in all, I have to give this seat a 10/10 review because it is perfect for me. I debated on making a makeshift DIY seat for cheaper, and I could not be happier with my decision. Thank you playseat!

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunVery good but priceyWheelstand I used before was great for portability but bad ergonomically
A dedicated driving rig is great ergonomically but bad for portability. No way I could have one in my home theater room. And no way I'm going to drag it out every time I want to play.
So the challenge looked like an ideal compromise. And it is.
Sets up and breaks down in less than a minute. When not used it's out of sight.
Sitting in it is snug and after long runs I can feel it in the back of my thighs. I imagine not much different that actually driving in a race car. The way the wheel swings out to let you in to sit is wonderful.
There is just the tiniest of wobble from the plate that holds the wheel but otherwise is quite solid. I found the pedal adjustments fine. And being able to adjust the wheel rotation is great.
Price wise, it is a little more than one would expect to pay for what it's made of, but then again this is a niche product.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunGreat basic playseatI cannot afford to have a fixed playseat, so I thought of buying this seat as it can be easily put up and away as needed. I have to admit I was more than surprised by its quality though at times the metal parts which hold the velcro can be a bit uncomfortable on the thighs, but it could be that I need to slim down a bit.
Overall I am more than satisfied with this seat, my driving improved drastically as now I feel more engaged in the game having the right posture. Definitely worth buying!

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design Funpart 1I bought the play seat challenge with the t300rs for the game project cars! This was my first seat and wheel so I read a lot of reviews before I decided to spend almost 600 euro on an item just for one game! I ordered it and within 4 days it was here, when I opened everything was nicely packaged and very very easy to set up, it's drilled for all types of wheel and my t300 fitted perfectly and very secure! The seat it self feels very race car like and is really comfortable when playing, I really can't recommend this seat enough for somebody who is tite on space as it folds away in seconds or doesn't have the high budget for a big rig!

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunPractical Awesomeness! My wife was sick and tired of seeing my old BMW 3-Series drivers seat in the middle of the living room whenever I would have a "driving session". After seeing the Challenge, I knew it was the solution we would both be happy with, and we weren't disappointed. The driving position is excellent, the "Alcantara" like materials are really high quality, the design is both sturdy and "racy", and ingenious way it all folds up to a slim footprint to store away makes it a winner in our apartment. And since it so easily and quickly sets up, I am able to get in more driving sessions, more often! And it looks so good, my wife doesn't even mind if I sometimes leave it out after! Perfect for drivers who don't have the space for a dedicated driving sim room.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunClears up every Space problemI thought for a long time to get a support for my G27. Just putting it on the desk was just torture for my back. But normal seats need so much space. But then I found the challenge. I checked a review of a famous Youtube Channel and after their words i decided to order it.
Very Friendlly email support (i forgot to type in the order number but that wasnt a problem at all) and after some days it was here.
I unwraped it, the short picrographic manual told me everything i needed to know and i was able to get started within a few minutes.
Important: also get the gearshift support if you use the g27 with the shifter, otherwise you will be in trouble.
the seat itself is foldable so you cannot expect that it is as stabile as a based seat. But even with this movable base i never had the fear to drop out of it or it coulld break down. I have to admitt, i was a bit unsure because of the straps if they will hold me but even with my too high body weight the seat takes it without any compromises. Big Pro: Because the seat is carried by the straps, the seat floor is flexible (as you can see on the product image), so it will get like a second skin on your back.
The wheell is fixed by a swing-arm which is flipped to the left while on the right side is a small fixing piece for the closed position. Also the angle of the wheel is adjustable so after some experimenting you will soon find your optimal seat position.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunRacing as it should be on minimzed space! You want a Racing Seat and do not have much storage room or even a Gaming Basement? THIS is the seat you are looking for!
It is solid (and I know what I am talking about, because I am not of a light build - if you know what I mean) and is on top of that wife/girlfriend friendly, since you can store it almost anywhere with litterally no place it occupies! So - if you want to do some serious racing and you have not much space and even your wife / girlfriend is not an active hardcore gamer, this seat is not only a compromise, this is the greatest and there is no discussion with your loved one - promise! ;-)

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunThe most practical gaming seat in the marketEver since I got my Playseat Challenge, I was addicted to playing driving games. It was the best racing seat I tried while playing my favorite driving games. Besides all the fun in it, it has all the features that I have imagined on an ideal gamer's seat. The design of it's portability and ease to setup and fold is genius. Plus my experience on purchasing this seat is remarkable, as it was beyond my expectations. The seat was delivered to me in a snap and in great packaging.
Thanks again PLAYSEAT. Here is one of your many very satisfied customer. More power to you and keep up the good work. :)

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunGreat foldable rig!I didn't had high expectations about the Playseat Challenge, but i was really surprised about the build quality and comfort. Great adjustability and very easy to fold and store. It is not the coolest looking rig on the market, but you forget all about that as soon you're seated.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunSurprisingly Clever Budget PlayseatThe design of the seat is incredibly clever for what in actuality is- a fabric hammock stretched over a few metal tubes. I was most surprised to discover how comfortable this setup is as well. I fatigue mentally well before I would physically when pulling a marathon gaming session in this seat. I've also found it to be very stable and adjustable, and the folding function is great for packing everything up into a closet.
It's a great fit for me, and it should be fine for particularly tall or short people as well. It is a narrow seat, however, so the more slender a person you are, the more comfortable you will probably be.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunReally good and affordable seatAbout a year ago i bought 3 of these seats,
1 for myself and 2 for friends who were interested.
Seat delivers way above spectations.
Really really comfi and real good materials ! I really like the way the seat is holding your body, slightly laid back position but not too much. Really nice when you drive for a couple of hours repeatly, no stiff neck or stiff shoulders.
Pedal holder is changeable in distance, not in height but i placed my pedals not against the bar but on top of it, so you create slightly more angle, perfect for my situation.
Steeringmount is not changeable in distance but when you have average body measurements, it's somehow always has a good distance, you can changen the angle of the steeringmount and thats in most of the times just enough to make it right.
First setup without sitting in you think it's a bit unstable but that's really not true, when you take place, the seat really hugs you and you feel like a racing driver instantly, because of your bodyweight the seat is rock solid when you take place.
Big plus when your using force feedback (asuming most of the people do) the pressure of the force feedback gives a great feeling through the seat and you get a real racy feeling.
I really like the seat and in my opinion it's a great and really affordable model, i've less space at home and when i'm done, i plug it out, fold it and place it in the corner.
Nothing but good words for this one !
I'm using it with a logitech DFGT.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunBetter than advertised, superb quality, durability, and function.THE perfect solution for the gamer with a wife that does not want your setup permanently in front of the family TV! I am a traveling sales rep and pack my seat, PS, and G27 into my truck for every trip - take into hotel and don't miss a race. Playseat just as stable and perfect today as when I unpacked it 18 months ago. NO issues, NO complaints, Playseat delivered more than expected (unusual today).

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunBringing interactive education to a whole new levelThis is the second Playseat Challenge that has been purchased to provide interactive education and awareness to students and adults regarding the dangers of distracted and impaired driving. The seat is used in conjunction with the One Simple Decision driving simulator from Virtual Driver Interactive.
The Playseat Challenge is a valuable tool that has raised our program to a higher level. The students are intrigued by the seat and are eager to participate. The seat is portable, easy to store and ship to events, and quick to set up.
The order process is efficient and the customer service is focused on meeting the needs of the customer in a timely manner.
I would highly recommend the Playseat Challenge to other organizations.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunGreat product for someone who doesn't has a lot of a spaceI have the seat for about a year and still very happy with it, since i play most in the living room the foldable design is great for me. It only takes a few minutes to set up and store it again. Comfort is pretty good and used materials are also durable. I use the Thrustmaster TX wheel which fits perfectly.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunGood seat for maximum fun at a minimum storage spaceBought the seat about a year and a half ago.
Used to have the Playseat Evolution A1GP in White, but it took up to much storage space.
The Playseat Challenge is a good alternative. I was supprised with the stability. My G25 with SRF-S1 mounts very stable to the seat. The seat is ideal for both Formula and Touringcar racing as it has an adjustible angle.
And the miss's is very happy that it can be stored away...

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunWorks perfectly but may need some DIY for being perfectOverall the seat is very well made and if used with the recommended wheel/pedal set and being the average person this is a product which you can take out of the box, assemble, play, have fun, neatly fold it away in a closet and be good until the next time.
However, I don't have the recommended wheel/pedal set nor I am an average person.
Starting with the wheel I have a Fanatec Turbo S which fits without much problems using 2 screws and it stays secure. For the pedals since I own a set of Fanatel metal CSP pedals they won't attach securely to the seat frame because they don't have a flat surface underneath. As such, I had to do some DIY in order to attach it securely to the seat. This will also play a role when storing the seat away since the CSP are quite heavy and I need to use a couple of extra velcro strips to keep everything in place.
Finally, my size is also not the best fit for this seat.. I am 1m90 with 120kg which the seat is happy to carry around without breaking itself apart (a huge plus on playseat for that) and it feels a little small on the knee area but other than this, you can adjust the seat well enough to make it confortable for a few gameplay hours. I only which the whole frame was 5cm or 10cm wider but I understand I am not the average user of these devices.
In the end this is still the only option if you want something which feels like a real car and which you can store away when not in use.

Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunGreat playseat for all with few spaceIt's a great chair and I enjoyed racing all over the world for many hours ;)
It's comfortable and long races are no problem. If the chair is folded it fits in a small corner and it is ready for racing in a few seconds.
All in all a must have for all racing game fans!
Overall Price / Quality Comfort Design FunIf you want a racing seat go for itI was looking into racing chairs for a while now, but always hold of because of cost and space requirement. When I saw the Playseat Challenge at Gamescom and had a chance to test it out it was a instant buy for me.
Building it is very simple and require no tools, in fact it is harder to get out of the box than it is to build. Included Vercro straps help with cable management and keeping it folded when stored.
The chair is very adjustable but a bit of a hassle since you have to get out of it for a lot of the adjustments, but once done you won't need to change anything even when storing it. (Ok, if you have really long legs like me, you may need to put back the pedal rest when storing)
At first glance it doesn't seem very sturdy because you're basically sitting on Velcro straps, which is the main reason it is only rated for 122Kg, but once you adjusted it to your needs and sat in it for 5 min the chair has settled and withstands even heavy gaming sessions.
The hammock style seating is very comfortable even over an extended period of time and the alcantara gives it a premium feel , however it does get warm and possibly sweaty and the front loops that hold the back adjustment bands can interfere with your legs, which can get uncomfortable after a while, but even a thin piece of foam is a big improvement here and only a minor complaint of mine.
Storing it is done in under 30 seconds. Unlock the wheel plate, fold the chair, secure it with the included Velcro strap, lift up the pedal rest and secure it with the attached Velcro strap. done. It is to note, that it doesn't stand on its own when folded.
Summary: You want a racing chair, but you don't have enough space? Buy this one.
It's not a compromise but a full fledged alternative with it's only drawback being it's load rating. It is also a good choice if you just want to save money.

Price / Quality Overall Comfort Design FunWow, this chair is really convenient!Wow, this chair is really convenient! It easily folds into a small package, but the race experience is still really great. I think the larger Playseat® chairs are more spectacular to drive but this one is certainly worth the money.

Price / Quality Overall Comfort Design FunNice chairI bought the Playseat Challenge a few months ago and I've really enjoyed it since! The chair is comfortable, adjustable and since I don't have a lot of space it's really nice that the Challenge is foldable.
All in all I must say: given the price it's a pretty comfortable chair.

Price / Quality Overall Comfort Design FunVery comfortable and adjustableI really like the Playseat Challenge. The experience is great and the seat is very comfortable. Thanks to straps you can adjust the chair exactly the way you want and the wheel can be turned up, so you can easily get seated. I also think it’s really great that you can fold the chair, including the wheel and pedals, so it doesn’t use that much room when you’re not using it.
